Such blatant disregard for this thread's laws
As displayed in your post above may cause
Stern words from self-appointed moderators
Which may, in turn, give you reason to hate us.

That is, if t'were not so that I also
Had tossed the rules aside three (and four) lines ago.

Perhaps you tilt at modern poetry;
The which, I ween, may often deserve scorn.
If so I can but praise your aim ironical,

DefaultPosts here in iambic pentameter

Last night to my surprised delight it seemed
In iambic pentameter I dreamed -
Though I was not aware of it at first,
My slumber's narrative formed rhyming verse.
It told a tale that was quite reliant
Upon old Oscar Wilde's Selfish Giant,
Except here it was battling dwarves at play
(I watched some Hobbit clips the other day
On YouTube and it must have had effect)
But sadly my experience was wrecked:
My girlfriend kissed me, getting out of bed;
I woke, and all the lines escaped my head.

I fear that amner may have missed the point.
"Fantastic"'s iambs add to one point five.

I'm glad to see you came to your senses.
I may post here again with a poem
(If I can ever get the damn thing done)
That ought to please the Month Of Horror crowd.
