Spooky, JM. I could have written all that - since I, too, hardly ever watch TV, leave room the moment any ads appear anyway, and can't get Quicktime to work on this at all. But I've just managed to get some stills off Flickr about the paint bombing of the Glaswegian building and some of the bouncy balls in SF. Not quite the same as seeing the finished thing though .... guess I'll manage to live, however

For those unable to see the Quicktime version, here is the new Sony Bravia ad on YouTube. Not great quality but still looks good.

And here is the 'Balls' ad. Longer version available too.

'Interesting' response to the Bravia paint ad on the BBC's Ad Breakdown analysis:

I happened to have seen this ad last pm for the first time, I thought that the images were not appropriate and indeed could belittle what occured in USA Twin Towers. The possibility of another terrorist attack in UK is thought to be very high at present, since our country appears to be the main target currently. Who could have not made the connection here. Further more, the community in Aberfan is remembering the catastrophic loss of a generation of children that were wiped out by a collapsed building and the remains of industry slag. Which 'team' dreamed up this non-innovative peverted approach?
Eirlys Jones, Carmel, Llanerchymedd, Anglesey, North Wales.

What on God's green earth does that have to do with this ad? The cause of the disaster at Aberfan was principally ill-managed coal waste - nothing to do with the collapse of buildings, though of course the slip took buildings with it. Does Eirlys have some kind of weird Welsh Nationalist agenda in objecting to an advert?

Bizarre.

I'm quite glad to see this isn't an official complaint, but just one of those text-a-like response collumns that the world is free to ignore. Where is a Mary Whitehouse when you need one? Carmel, Llanerchymedd, apparently.

What great commercial spots and thank you for linking to the youtube versions. I also couldn't get quick time to run for this. The Welsh person's comments were a total surprise to me after viewing the colors. The events in NY would be the last thing to come to mind upon seeing these. How quickly did they have to film all the bouncy balls?

I told you I couldn't get on with Welsh folk. They are so strange.
