Can I court controversy and make a suggestion that we delay this, and the book group as a whole, until February?
The other books can all be moved on a month, and it gives us extra time what with Xmas and everything. What say ye?

I was in my loft yesterday looking for a box of crappy SF books which I know I have but I couldn't find. What I did find though was a couple of boxes containing (pre ISBN) Penguin paperbacks I had forgotten about one of which contained, bizarrely, a copy of Virtual Light published by some other company. I suppose I'll have to read the damn thing now.
Moving it to Feb. is ok by me. |

Me too, as I haven't read DDD yet, and Virtual Light is waiting in the queue behind Holloway, Murakami and a few others. I have my copy ready at hand though.

This newbie would love to join you in February to discuss Virtual Light. I've been meaning to read some Gibson for a while now and will get my grubby paws on a copy over Chrimble.

I got really angry... I don't think I'll have the opportunity to get Virtual Light in English, I'm looking for the translation. I lost one online auction already and just now realised that because of Christmas I forgot about another... I'm afraid I may not get another chance (the title isn't in the bookstores anymore).

How are people getting on with this? I am struggling mightily - only about 15 pages in but my eyes are passing over the words but nothing is going in! Will stick to it though. I promise.

I'm sort of enjoying it so far. But am not very far in.
