As the latest attempt to open the eyes of the world to the joy of Palimpsest, there will be an advert in the back of Private Eye this week! How exciting!

It will certainly be interesting to see what, if any, interest we get from this. it may well help us decide in the future how we publicisise the site.

Anyway, buy up all the copies of the Eye that you can find and leave them lying around on the Palimp-page to increase the potential audience!

Well, like I said, it's an experiment really at this stage. But after the success of the Amazon link (£3 earned to date and counting...) I thought it oppotune to re-invest it.

Now everyone - be nice to the hordes of newbies who will undoubtably come flocking our way!

Are we going to start selling the t-shirts now...or is that reserved for a later stage of our integrated media campaign?

Newbies? They'd better be well behaved.

It'll be intereting to see who comes along as a result. Hopefully we can persuade some of them to come out from behind the curtain and strut upon the stage. Otherwise, how will we know they're there?

Seriously though to any Eye readers who come along, don't be scared to speak. I know some people here occasionally stumble on some truth or wisdom, but it's by no means compulsory. Indeed the kind of ranting, rambling, and muttering which in the real world would almost definitely be a one way ticket to the funny farm, is pretty much our daily bread. Also, although we have an unspoken rule, which goes something like, if you can't be funny, be interesting and if you can't be interesting be short, it's amazing how often a few seeds cast on what looks like pretty stony ground can bloom and blossom into something wonderful.

Put another way, 'Welcome to the party!'.
