Hey everybody! I've got a guy here calling himself the Ghost of Christmas past. He's looking for someone named . . . Gil.

I loved Gran Torino too. Why aren't any of the Star Wars movies on that list? Or Forrest Gump. Oh yeah, that's right, because it's Empire magazine, the sorriest excuse for a film magazine out there. Not that they're wrong about Batman and Robin mind.

I think it's very telling that 8 of those movies are from the last ten years or so. They needed to pull out two older films -- Heaven's Gate and Raise the Titanic(!) -- to fool people into thinking they're educated in films that came out before they were born.

I've never seen this, but the title is bad enough and it boasts of being the worst movie ever made on the poster...

There was discussion today elsewhere about Shark Attack 3: Megalodon being pretty dire, either because of or despite John Barrowman being in it

I used to love Empire, although it's telling that I stopped buying it, what, ten years ago? Maybe more.

I agree with Adr. and bill, it's a sorry excuse for a list (we could come up with better, or worse). The three retrospective Star Wars wankathons are more deserving of the epithet than any of that 10.

And where's Gamer, huh?

What I've seen of Shark Attack 3 would indicate to me that it doesn't belong on the list. Ideally, a "worst movie ever" must be absolutely unwatchable: dull, offensive, and so on. Shark Attack 3's got some laughs, however unintentional (although I think the filmmakers behind that one might have known exactly what they were doing). Ed Wood also doesn't belong, for the same reasons, and also because he was a plucky little guy who kept trying.
