Default Three Thousand Threads

By my reckoning, by the time you read this, Palimpsest has 3,000 discussion threads, which is pretty good going for a small forum like ours. Just last week on bookgrouponline they were marking the same milestone, and they have ten times more members than we do!

So post on, Palimpeople: you all make it what it is!

We aren't called 'the friendliest forum' for nothing!

...Oh, hang on a minute. We aren't called 'the friendliest forum' at all!

Quite. Calling yourself 'the friendliest forum' is a little like having a sign on the homepage saying "We Not Only Suffer Fools Gladly But Actively Welcome Them"!

Errm, I wanted to start a thread a while back, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to do it. I've looked and looked but I still can't see anything that looks like a 'start a new thread' button. I know it's probably staring me in the face but can somebody give me a nudge in the right direction?

If you're in a forum - say, the book forum, there will be a button saying New Topic at the top left just above the box containing all the threads for that forum: that's the fellow to click. And post away!

Let us know if you have any difficulty etc.
