but we like John Suchet! And like John said, it gives that sense of friendly trustworthiness and also just what the Palimp Xmas present implies.

I look nothing like my avatar but I like it still and I am stupidly loyal to these random choices. John's alternative Paul Smith design wasn't a patch on Smithers.

I hated the anaemic androgynous Aryan on my avatar at first, but now I'm used to him/her and wouldn't change it.
