A shiny newish copy? I would suspect it might go for more than that. Most copies I have seen are well-worn ex-library copies. I have the first two in the less than wonderful Red Fox paperback reprint and the third and fourth are battered, ex-charity shop, ex-library. (One possibly stolen because there are no 'Withdrawn' stamps inside.)

I do hope the new edition tidies up the typos though. Uncle and his Detective, which I am reading at the moment, is littered with them. At one point the typesetters didn't capitalise 'Uncle', and he's the hero of the book!

A nice crisp copy, only read once.

Get it on eBay this instant - before the bottom falls out of the market - and put your name down for a copy of the new edition. It's a win win situation.

I will be having a clear out of my collection in the near future; ridding it of 'twicers', 'thricers', and 'one read only' works.
When I do, I will send you a list if you like, and you can have your pick.

I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who gets thricers (which, once you get past the idea that it sounds like some sort of sheep parasite, is not as painful as it sounds).

I recently found I had three copies of the same edition of an obscure 1960s SF paperback - which I had never read. When you are having your clearout, Jorrocks, I can thoroughly recommend LibraryThing as sorting aide.

Slavering already...

Just to get us back on track:

The TV Times Encyclopedia of TV Science Fiction by Roger Fulton arrived in the post today. £2.20 (inc postage) from eBay.

So no more heated arguments about what was the first episode of season two of Fireball XL5 round our house...

This morning I went in Wilkinson's and found a pound coin on the floor. Went in Poundland and used the pound coin to buy:
