Hmmm, yes, I'm not sure I'm going to get ten but I'd also have...
(most of these are song lyrics just in case anyone thought I was randomly spouting numbers in odd statements!)

'42, the answer to the question of the meaning of life the universe and everything'.
'3, is the magic number'
'1, is the loneliest number that you'll ever know'
10 green bottles
99 red balloons
'Drove down the I-95 with a smile across my face'

I'm being horribly persnickety here, of course, but throughout my life I've found the misunderstanding of this all-important number to be almost as frustrating to me as the the word 'expresso'. Something just jumps up and down in my head shouting 'NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!' and I just can't let it lie. It makes no difference to anything, of course, but then I'm pathetic, so here we go anyway.

42 has nothing to do with meaning. It is, as you so correctly state, the answer to the great Question of life, the universe, and everything, but the word 'meaning' implies rhyme and reason, and I suspect that dear Douglas (PBUH) left it out deliberately. He deals with the question of 'meaning' elsewhere...
Arthur: But what does it mean?!
Ford: What, the custard?
Arthur: No, the Infinite Improbablity Drive!
I think Digger knows this really, so I don't want to cast nasturtions on her otherwise excellent choice, but every time I hear someone telling me that 42 is 'the meaning of life' I want to shove a boot down their necks.

Pointless and unnecessary rant over. My apologies.

And for the sake of adding something useful to the thread - to contrast my previous blurtings - one of my favourite numbers is the biggest number in the world, us unveiled by the Mathmagician in The Phantom Tolbooth. I think it was a 3.
