Seeing this thread I immediately thought of the scene in Lost In Translation, durnit Col. So how about another appearence for Ewan and Cameron from A Life Less Ordinary?

And Malcolm in the Middle's Craig Feldspar's sobbing his way through "(Hey, Did You Happen To See) The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" after Lois tells him the hard truth.

Ok, it's supposed to be bad singing, but how about the scene in Citizen Kane where the wife proves that she has no voice, on stage, in front of the opera going multitude. A scene that makes me cringe just thinking about it.

How about the guy who sang "Crying" in Only Fools And Horses? I know it's not a film, but it was a classic episode for this reason.

Thank you, thank you!

For a moment there I thought you were going to say:
Sid Vicious in The Great Rock and Roll Swindle: "....and now... the end is neaaaaar...."

Empire Records - Say No More, Mon Amour by "Rex Manning". See it here on youtube. It starts with the immortal words 'Oh Rexie, you're so sexy'.

Another Rex - Rex Harrison - was someone who didn't so much sing musical numbers as engage in monologue. He massacres a fair few songs in "My Fair Lady" and the original version of "Dr. Dolittle."

I think the worst singing I have ever seen in a film (and I can't believe you made it to the third page of this thread without it cropping up - you must all be too young to remember it) has to be from the 60's western "Paint Your Wagon."

Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood.

In a *musical.* (Shudders at the memory)

best,
Chris H
