Ooh, I hadn't realised it was back on. Just started back? If so, I'll give it a whirl on iPlayer at the weekend.

Been 3 or 4 eps, I think...? Two Jack Dees that I know of.

Yep, there's been at least 4 eps. I posted about this on another forum, saying how much I loved Jack Dee in the chair, he was definitely the best of the try-outs. He has that disdain down to a fine art. I loved the ep. a few weeks ago where he trudged off down corridors and through doors etc to find the rules for Mornington Crescent. It was a great show, particularly with Rob Brydon singing. He was brilliant as a guest, but not so good as the host. It really puts a smile on my face, along with Bleak Expectations. R4 comedy at its best.

Ah, Bleak Expectations - it entertains and annoys me in equal measure.

Yes, Jack Dee's great as a host for ISIHAC. I was disappointed with Stephen Fry in the chair at the start of the last series, though; he just didn't feel quite comfortable.

I think Jack Dee was certainly the best of the try-outs and (judging by the one recent programme which I managed to catch) he seems to be the right choice for the job. I'm looking forward to hearing what I've missed, if the shows are still available on iplayer or "listen again".

Today I listened to a recording of this Monday's episode of I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue (Radio 4, @6:30pm, Monday 29th July)...
Quote:
Jack Dee: "OK, our first round this week is about books. Not all books are assured of success, so teams I'd like you please to suggest titles of books which would be guaranteed to flop. Graeme, maybe you could start us off."

Graeme Garden: "Big Women"

Jack Dee: "Rob..."

Rob Brydon: "Bridget Jones's Diarrhoea"

Jack Dee: "Tim..."

Tim Brooke-Taylor: "Fifty Shades of Gravy"

...
... now where have I heard of that last book before?
