Default Lit and Fit : the characters we dig

I was reading the Book Group RC stuff, and it struck me that if you didn't
want RC, even with his intimate caprine knowledge, who would you have?

Unfortunately this is where me and my muse parted company. Now I have to arrange it with the courts and only get to see her for a few minutes on alternate weekends.

Yasmin Howcomely from Roald Dahl's My Uncle Oswald. A more fanciable creation I've never met.

I can't imagine anyone else with whom I'd want to be stranded. Well, abandoned

I love this :D

Torn between answering this as who would you want to be abandoned with (for company/wit etc) or who would you want (for caprine or otherwise skills/island-escaping talents etc).

There's no reason you couldn't do both, though you would get extra points for combining company and usefulness in a solitary human.

Tricky isn't it?

Johnny Depp. For obvious reasons.

Ah, but he's not a character is he, Lucoid? Well, I expect he's a bit of a 'character' but I think what bakunin_the_cat meant was a fictional person.

I see why you'd say that but I think Amner's right, it has to be a fictional character. Otherwise it'll just slide into a mud slinging match between the Johnny Depp camp and the Pamela Stephenson camp with a few undecided in the middle somewhere.

On the other hand, why not?

Sling away!

I was thinking 'Remus Lupin' from Harry Potter, because he's intelligent and swoony enough to spend a whole lot of time with (I'm not thinking of the David Thewlis horrid-moustachioed version in the coming film here but a preferable Ralph Fiennes-type version).

He's also clever enough with a wand to conjure up anything we might need, defend us from the odd savage or goat. But there is a significant (possibly insurmountable) problem re the werewolf business.

I'm going away to think some more. But for the moment, assume I've got magical powers and can do the 'animagus' bit to keep safe.

I don't like Pammy, though. Except as release-into-the-woods-and-hunt-down-in-a-sod-off-4x4 material.

No, let's keep it fictional.

Oops, silly me - perhaps I should have read the instructions thoroughly.
