Default Palimper name quiz.

Ok, a mild weekend brain teaser.

1 - Which Palimper's name is an anagram of a form of egg noodle?

2 - Which Palimper's name with a single letter placed in front of it would spell the title of the Trevor Horn-produced early '80s single from a previously cheesy pop duo?

3 - Which Palimper's name, together with the additional letters in 'LEMON MPD' is an anagram of the French answer the Palimper might give you if you asked 'is this your real name?'

4 - Which Palimper's name sounds like you're summoning a character - or identity - from a 2002 film?

5 -Which Palimper's name is an anagram of a word we usually associate with a moaning request?

6 - Which Palimper's name contains anagrams of the first names of two supermodels - one an angular, strong-nosed catwalk shape-thrower, the other arguably Britain's most successful supermodel ever?

7 - Which Palimper's name is part of the title of a book by a well known female author?

8 - Part of which Palimper's name would become part of the title of a film starring Gerard Depardieu if the name was translated into the language of the film's setting?

9 - Which saucy Palimplass is capable of being acidic, sweet or spicy, just like you'd expect from the label?

10 - Which Palimper's name, together with the letters in the phrase 'I'm sent' can be rearranged to form the name of an author - although expect an excess of ease. Clue - one of this author's characters is another Palimper's name.

11 - Which Palimper's name can be rearranged to suggest the theft of a feminist icon?

What an interesting quiz, leyla! One for the cryptic crossword fans, I reckon. The only one that I can get on a first scan through is:

9 - HP!

Yes well done, JS! A couple of the answers are punningly cringey, but I'm not suggesting it's University Challenge!

08 This could be me: John from (Paris)/Jean de (Florette)

10 This is amarie: Martin Amis would be an anagram of the letters of "amarie" and those of "I'm sent"... except there are two useless letter e's (an excess of e's... an excess of ease... ) And the palimping Martin Amis character is John Self.

Damn! Just beaten to it... Great minds, Ang...

I think number 6 might be ono no komachi because the letters of naomi are in there, but I don't know who the other model is.
