Thanks, Col and Kimbers. Hmmm. Skimmed first paragraph of haiku article so far and not sure it's my kind of thing - I actually LIKE having several rules (eg rhyme, scan, other requirements) so being given free rein to write anything as long as it's 5, 7, 5 syllables, seems almost too wide a remit to me. I'll look at the haiku article a bit more tomorrow night. I'll look forward to reading ones posted by others. They do have a very peaceful Zen type quality to them, don't they?
