Default Top Ten Pointless People

Or, people I could cheerfully throw over a mountain. People who really, really, grate on my nerves. So, in no particular order, here is just a selection. The tip of a very large iceberg of hatred.

1. The Shrub - obvious, but he's got to be included.

2. Anthea Turner

3. Piers Morgan

4. Alex Ferguson

5. Kirsty Walk

6. That infuriating chap off Crimewatch

7. Sayed, from last year's Apprentice. 'Nicholas? Nicholas? Nicholas. I thought that was Nicholas.'

8. Carol Smillie

9. Jeremy Beadle

10. Michael Howard

I agree with all of these except that I don't know the chap off Crimewatch. However, if he is indeed infuriating, then he must be included.

Oh, this is a can of worms isn't it?

I don't know who half the people on Amarie's list are but mine would include

Dale Winton, John Reed - sorry DOCTOR John Reed, and just about anyone who makes their living from presenting TV shows before the watershed. Especially that "Cheap as chips" orange cunt, who's name has mercifully escaped me.

On the liner notes for a Chumbawamba album I have, it says: "Nobody is completely useless - they can always serve as a bad example".

That chap of crimewatch is awful ! How did he get chosen ! So wooden.

I would add Nicky Campbell, and Lawrence LLewellyn Bowen flouncing around the world (on HOLIDAY) with his awful nose in the air family giving his opinion on the culture and style of said country. eeeuuuurghhhh !!!!!!!!!

I've been pondering about starting a similar thread for a while, but I was going to call it 'the first ten against the wall when the Revolution comes'. And then I'd try to think of ten and just make myself infuriated. Nevertheless, if a thread has already been started, then who am I to resist the temptation to wade into it? Goldstein! Goldstein! Goldstein!
1 - Mrs M&S Food.
"This isn't just ridiculous voice-overing, this is long... drawn out... ludicrously unspecific... post orgasmic... cringeworthy... M&S Voice-overing"

2 - Andie MacDowell
"Hi, I'm Andie MacDowell. You may remember me from such films as Four Face Creams and a Hair Dye. Don't hesitate to run off and buy this ever-improving tub of crap in the hopes you'll be as well-paid and made-up as me, only to have them dashed against the cold hard reality of being ripped off - because I'm worth it!"

3 - Sir Alan Sugar
I know he, or at least his show, is a sort of hero in these hallowed Palimpular halls, but him, his shows, and his adverts just bore me senseless.

4 - Prince Charles
I think I'm required to put him in, otherwise they'll never let me in the RIBA.

5 - Either of the Brothers Gallagher
Gits. And not nearly as talented as they think they are.
...and from six to ten let's just randomly pick five from Amarie's initial list, as I agree with them anyway.

Oh, I COMPLETELY agree about the Gallaghers. Really really horrible. And Alan Sugar or anyone who wants to be his apprentice (ie lick his shoes) Stupid people. I like Prince Charles though. He is getting to be just as outspoken as his dad, which i find funny. And he studied Archaeology so he is obviously very clever ; )
