Default Recent Purchases 2007

Let's go back to the old way of doing recent purchases - a long, rambling thread with lots of tangents. Enjoy it, folks!

Just bought two new books. One is titled "What is The What" by Dave Eggers. The story is about a young boy who flees his home during the Sudanese war in the 1980s. Most of the procedes from the sale of this book go to aide in the Sudan.
The other book I bought because of the frist sentence. "I am the recording angel, doomed to watch". The book is a fantasy about a hospital that stays afloat after the Earth is flooded. I'm not much of a fantasy reader but the reviews and the first sentence were enough of a sell.
That is it, the last and most recent of book purchases.........nothing very tangentish comes to mind.

Hm-m-m-m-m I just bought some new make-up also. Figured I'd start the new year out looking a good ten years younger. Got the stuff home and tried it out.................all I can say is that they don't make make-up like they used to.
It used to do a much better job ;>)

I bought a macro lens this summer.....also a polaroid lens. I haven't really played with them all that much yet but...

he he : ) Yes, Iremember using make up to make me look older, now its most definately a cover up job to hopefully look like I am not wearing any. Sigh... I don't quite know when exactly the crossover point was ! Nevermind, although I am looking older I do feel a little wiser (I don't wear mini skirts out at night when it is snowing any more).

Red face Re: Recent Purchases 2007

O.K. so I jumped the gun a bit. One must keep in mind that this post is coming from the U.S. of A. In my little corner of the world we are forever trying to push on. If we could some of us would set the time line on 2008 and try to forget the past eight years altogether.
