I think they were offered to the general Palimpulace a couple of years ago - as indicated by the fact that Digger and pandop have them. They have to be set up by Wavid, so we'll need to wait until he's around again. I should add that the email system, user interface etc is pretty crap and I never use mine.

I only use mine as an alias, I must admit.

Yes, me too. If I do any book commenting elsewhere and need to give an address, I refer it back here. So it is useful.

I use mine as my principal non-work email. can't be doing with all the junk mail that pours into hotmail and yahoo accounts (both of which I suppose i technically have through flickr and the like). Palimpmail doesn't get any

I was just thinking of having it as a back up, in case I want to use something other than googlemail for official purposes.

But I can't get in, so I will pm Wavid when he is back and see if he has any suggestions.

My Palimpmail seems to have vanished. It says "page not found". I tried access through the general Horde mail page but it wouldn't recognise my name and/or password. I'm expecting a new piece of mail from someone whose address I don't have yet

I'm getting the same thing, Col. I did wonder if Wavid might be doing some maintenance or something.

I've just heard from Wavid and although I'm not sure what the reason is for the page disappearing, he pointed me to another access to it, which seems to work: http://82.195.128.132/horde/imp/login.php

Now I've got my new computer, I've come unstuck on Palimp-Mail as I'm having to input my info in all the new fields. I can't remember what I put in as my username: I've tried Colyngbourne and also palimpsest.org.uk (which I recall seeing). My password won't be the problem, just the user name.
