Comments make me feel popular and validated. Except when they are from patronising people who assume themselves to be my superior. Which happens more than I would want. But hey, if it's words you like I do attempt to use them; bookseller, reader, writer, human = me.

My blog is called "GLOG: A Genevan Log" -- http://genevoise.blogspot.com/

I have been writing it since I arrived in Geneva in April 2005.

It has developed into a whimsical look at my life in Geneva; the life of a foreigner. Many entries are an attempt at "mental photography."

Thought I'd mentioned this before, but obviously not.

My blog is a book review blog, called booklit, a literary handout. Or booklit for short. It is just a place to gather all my reviews and perhaps force me into writing more of the things.

Hi Kirsty, I've definitely come across your name at OUP. I'm quite terrified that someone from the World of Work is also a member of Palimpsest, and I'll probably be obsessively keeping my postings to lunchtime from now on! (I'm also a little disturbed at quite how easy it is to know exactly who I am). It is very bizarre to think that you are probably only a few metres away from where I'm sitting now...
Welcome to Palimpsest; I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Becca, I think it's largely because I work on reference that I figured out who you are! But hello!
(I wouldn't worry about keeping it to lunch time - I don't! I won't tell if you don't... :) )
