Default American Palimp BLTO I

In a half-hour or so, the Midwestern Branch of the Great Order of the Palimp, US Division (i.e. me) will have the honor of hosting amarie at the first American Palimp Big Lunch-Time Out.

It turns out that she is visiting St. Louis for a month, so we hope to get together a few more times. We'll hope to post at least one photo.

Although I had to turn down amarie's request that I wear my famous seersucker trousers (I am at work today, after all), I wouldn't want to disappoint my fans, so I will be showing up in a pink shirt, of course.

Anyway, welcome to St. Louis, amarie. We hope you enjoy your time with us.

S.D.O.s are great - especially if they're hosted by fabulous Digger type people

Thanks for the welcome Jerkass! I have to say that the lack of seersucker did result in no small disappointment on my part, but when I walked in the bank to meet J/A I could see why you might not be able to get away with such an, erm, enchanting fashion item.....

Anyway, we had lunch in lovely Thai restaurant in the Clayton area of St. Louis, which I assume is the financial part of the city. We only slagged off Sean Wright once, which I feel was fairy restrained, and all in all, I thouroughly enjoyed myself, as I hope J/A did.

After lunch, as a lady of lesiure I wandered round for a bit, visited a couple of local hostelries, one of which was teeming with very strange people, and then went home.

I think we're meeting up again soon - possibly today? - so there'll be photos to come.

I have visions of you walking into the bank and shouting "Jerkass!" while walking toward him with open arms...
