Default Discovering the Palimp

Call me nosy (well, I am - quite, quite incurably I'm afraid), but I've often wondered how Palimpsters discovered this site. Apart from our hallowed founding fathers and those who were invited along by an existing Palimp member, are there many here who just happened across it via a lucky bit of Googling? And if so what key words did you use in the search? I've tried almost every combo there is of 'books', 'discussion', 'debate', 'forum' etc. but not once managed to find our own dear Palimpsest in the lists thrown up.

Just done that, Maxi, but having got as far as page 10 of the Google list it throws up with no sign of Palimpsest.org.uk - I'm wondering if I'm missing something here, perhaps ......

I was googling for reviews of a book I had read and it turned up on Palimpsest several times - but only because the author had assumed Palimp. identities and was carrying on a conversation about how great his own novel was. (He was found out - and, it seems, never visited the site again).

Honey, this search was performed more than two years ago. Could be that things have changed in the meantime. Plus, I never said that I found Palimpsest on the first ten pages (truth be told, I can't remember).

I googled 'Palimpsest' as it is my favourite word! It's the number one result - what a happy day that was!

I'd like to ask the founders why they decided on Palimpsest as the name?
