Default Book 27: THE THREE STIGMATA OF PALMER ELDRITCH by Philip K Dick

August's book. I have this one, and will read it in the next week or so.

Ace. I read this a few months ago and was sure I had missed a lot. I was looking for an excuse for a re-read, and here it is! Tadaa!

I'm a handful of pages away from finishing The Master and Margarita, but I have my copy of 3StigPalmEld at the ready and I am looking forward to participating in something outside of the Features Threads!

I'll reread the Polish translation, I haven't managed to get hold of the original... It's been slightly putting me off reading, I really don't like reading English books in translation.

Anyway, I wonder what I'll make of this book now. It's officially one of my top ten, but I read it quite long ago. I think my taste has quite changed but I admit I rather expect this particular book to survive the revision...

I have it too, at the last minute found it in Waterstone's yesterday after selecting a birthday gift for a relative.

Kind of wish I'd had it with me this morning, having spent nearly two hours more or less stationary on the M4. Gah!

I finished 3SoPE a few days ago and liked it a lot, but I'm going to read it again before I comment in depth. To clear my palate I'm ploughing through The Man In The High Castle, which is demonstrating PKD's versatility - the styles of the two books couldn't be more different - but it's just as good.
