I was amused to watch ep. 4 with my parents and finding I shared equal dislike of Sylvia with my mum and we were both amused by my dad who declared her the best character and much maligned! She even suckers in the male viewer (who admittedly hasn't read the book, and isn't likely to!)

Still loving it, though I'm glad that it's been a while since I read the book.

Particularly liked C's annoyance at the idiocy of the systems of supply for his troops and often stupidity of those he was surrounded by (particularly at a higher level)... his mounting frustration and exhaustion was well played.
