I think so. "I like these little calms before the storm..." Goosebumps. I need to watch that movie again.

I'm emphatically not a film person, given that I tend to let it occupy a small seat behind fiction and (mainly) classical music, and that you can't find time for everything...
BUT The Deer Hunter... The wedding-scene, although long and protracted, doesn't drag or become tedious, in my recollection... But the whole film is a shining example of a spring being wound up and up and up... Another notable recent example, I thought, was Festen.

No tougher than these, pleeease... No. 19 is driving me insane!

EDIT: Oh hang on... it's not said by Kim Basinger in LA Confidential, is it?

EDIT AGAIN: Argh! No it's not!

I don't know, I duck my head out of here for a couple of days and you all start talking about films without me.

This one I knew, but it was annoying me so much I had to google it - great quote. But NOW I'm not allowed to win, of course.

Yay! Mrs S says number one is SEVEN. And I have been worrying over 19 for a while and realised today that it is from Misery. More of these please!!

Kudos to Col, thought that might be the toughest. Misery & Se7en both spot on, too. Couple more left...
