I see Sarah Nixey has recorded vocals for Haines' musical Property, released later this year

As for Sarah's solo career goes, you can hear a couple of tracks (The Collector and Love and Exile) here.

With infantjoy, she did a Christmas song, Silent Night. She's also done another for this band.

Damn you Haines!

New album 'Off My Rocker At The Artschool Bop' will be released October 2006.
It will be preceded in September by a double A-sided single 'Off My Rocker At The Artschool Bop (Richard X version)/Leeds United. More details soon.
While new material is wonderfully welcome...October? We could all be dead by then.

At last we have a date. Luke Haines will return on the sixteenth of October. Praise be.

Excellent. Thanks for that.

And, as a bonus, the page also has the video to The Rubettes by The Auteurs. I'd never seen it before.

Hurrah!

God only knows what the album cut will sound like, but surely this must become a single. Given the fuss that Steve Earle created by singing about John Walker Lindh I think Saint Luke has a real chance for tabloid infamy. Can he do it?

Terrific, thanks Hinton.

Sadly I doubt Lukey will get the notoriety he deserves, mainly because he is expressing the views on Glitter the tabloids would agree with, and with irony that is undiscernible to them. Love that line "the great British public... is having a think."

Now really lad, what sort of negative attitude is that? You're grossly underestimating the ability of our beloved red tops to sail three hundred miles wide of the point, intentionally or otherwise.

Consider Mr. Earle's experience. A song sung from the POV of one John Walker Lindh, painting him as an empty, tragically deluded individual, was spun into a ballad honouring the sorry little fellow. Couldn't happen here you say? Ha! Did the Brass Eye special teach you nothing?

Any-old-how, the actual single now boasts a video.
