I'm zapping, and nabbing their IP addresses and adding them to the banned list, including three-quarter partial IP's where they seem to be recurring as main offendors. Tons of spam members, but slightly fewer spam posts than a few days ago. We need a better "captcha" thing or "question/visualisation" thing but I have no idea how to do those.

For anyone concerned that a bit of Spam has been left unattended, the EthediaExpate one on the James Herbert RIP thread has cunningly wound itself onto Lucoid's identity, so I can't locate it and zap it, and I am reluctant to tackle it in case I zap Lucoid by error.

Fixed it.

*breathes a sigh of relief*

I don't want to be zapped.

Thanks Stewart. I cleared more triffids from the boundary fence last night. Seems quieter now.

I removed all the overnighters this morning.

For info, when clearing, them, go to Find All Posts By User and use the inline moderation to select all their posts and Delete Posts as Spam option. Much quicker than what I think you were doing (i.e. delete user, and then delete each post individually.)

I think, I think, we may have the old P back after a long time. Thank you so much to Stewart and Col for their hard work. Stay vigilant, people, but I think we may have cracked it.

Yes, thanks, Stewart, for delving into parts of the undercarriage of the Palimp where Col's fear to tread.
