Default The Eagles on YouTube

For us 1970s nostalgia-seekers:

Hotel California (1975-ish) - the original

Hotel California (1994-ish) - the acoustic version

Turn to Stone (1976) - featuring a great duet from Don Felder and Joe Walsh It doesn't get really good until about the 5th minute.

Eat your hearts out, Arctic Monkeys.

Coo - thanks for that, gil. Nostalgia indeed! Back in the mists of time, when Mr P and I had only just started living together, we were absolutely skint. But on a trip to Macro's to buy a few essential bits and pieces - like putty and a hammer and a month's supply of cheap cheese, we rebelled and picked up an Eagles album as well. Hotel California (which we both still enjoy) holds some very, very strong and happy associations for both of us.

And, HP, I challenge you to sit still while All She Wants To Do Is Dance is playing.

I always liked this song. Time to be silly indeed.

And this one, although the tight close up on Glenn Frey is a little scary here.

Finally, this video made a deep impression on me as a kid. Thanks Glenn.

...I think it's a bigger challenge to listen to Desparado without singing along

Joe Walsh is really weird, but in a nice way.
