Default Lead Balloon

Jack Dee's new TV show starts on terrestrial TV (BBC2) tonight, following a start on BBC4 four weeks ago. It takes over the slot filled by Extras, so you just need to remember to switch on when Catherine Tate has finished.

Dee is Rick Spleen, a successful but fed-up stand-up comedian who has drifted into the corporate event world, and hates it. He and Marty, his co-writer, spend their days arguing, drinking too much coffee, and devising work avoidance strategies.

And it's bloody great. I've been chuckling away since it started up on BBC4 and will happily start again from show 1 tonight.

Here's some more info.

Caught the first episode on BBC2 last night - very funny, although it did have an unfair advantage as I decided to give the appalling Catherine Tate another chance and didn't laugh once during that (did manage a couple of small smiles but that was about it).
