And also this one...

His debut album is out in October. Something to look forward to.

It's not exactly true to say I'll be listening to this mostly, but I do like Pomplamoose in an occasional way and I thought this was quite nicely done:

The source tracks are below for comparison. That first one is hellishly catchy, hurts me to admit that I like it, but then I've only heard it playing out here in EuroDeathland once, perhaps you're all ready to gobble painkillers at the very sight of the link. I thought the second one was going to be The Doors at first.

The other day, I resurrected my cassette of Michael Macdonald. Can't stop listening to it:

a) With Patti La Belle

b) with the Doobie Brothers

c) solo

Yeah, I know it's 25 years old.

Oh, and I'm going to buy the Olympic opening ceremony DVD. NOT!

Default Tame Impala: "Elephant"

Elephant by Tame Impala.

A great track, and it goes well with the Pink Elephants on Parade segment from Disney's Dumbo...

My Aunt and Uncle, who live in Germany and are part of their local choir, sent, for Christmas, a CD of their most recent concert (no expense spared on that present then) which, amongst the Beethoven, Strauss and Orff, featured this recent German chart-topper. Unfortunately it is ridiculously catchy and I haven't been able to stop humming the damned thing all weekend:

I've been in love with this Dublin band who play Appalachian-ish stuff for a few months now:
