Yes. I can only see the dates when I drag the mouse over them.
The forum icons are not the normal ones, and there's a huge vBulletin banner across the top of the main page and the other links across the top are also invisible until you drag the mouse across them - Members, Log Out, Search, etc (and the ones at the bottom - Contact Us, Admin, Mod etc). And five red stars isn't workable But hey, it's working and it's here so I'm really more than happy! It was an awful time not being able to get here or post anything.

Rather than dragging over dates etc. I [Crtl]+A which selects all the text on the page, than a left mouseclick to clear it.

Looks entirely normal from here, except for missing red stars. A starry eyed illusion?

I get the normal Palimp if I'm on Mr Col's laptop which has the latest version of Firefox. But all other laptops and computers in the house - using IE, old Firefox and Google Chrome - have the 'basic' semi-finished Palimp.

Everything's a bit green at the moment as I've corrected the text to be all green as default. Some of the black text will need to be restored. But, for now, at least certain elements can be read.
Wavid will need to provide me with a way of uploading images to replace the current ones to ensure some form of Palimpular restoration. |

I don't have any red stars either -- the great thing is that since I have only one "red-star" book (Tony Judt's Memory Chalet, must to jog memories) it looks even better having a star in a box than five red stars.
My thanks to all who have worked so hard to bring this site back to life. Twitter and Facebook have both intruded on the kind of discussion that was so important here. Neither can replace it -- thoughtful people need more than 140 characters to say what they think. I promise to be more diligent about opening new posts and commenting on others. We have lost a number of old friends (for good reason, I admit) -- we need to find some new ones.
