I never got a chance to get through to Edinburgh last month, so, now that it's over, what were everyone's highlights, lowlights, and meh moments?

Had a great couple of weeks. The highlight was obviously meeting up again with Ang, Lizzy Siddal, Leyla and Stradlater. Stewart, you were missed this year.

As for author talks, Sebastian Barry and Kevin Barry should do the audio books of their novels - highly entertaining readers. St Aubyn talk was great, as was Hollinghurst, Mars-Jones, Jane Harris and Janice Galloway.

A couple of the Chairs were less than impressive, but one of the best was James Runcie's chairing of the Patrick McCabe and Christopher Hope event.

I was also very impressed by Owen Jones' talk on his book Chavs.

Only 50 weeks to go until EdBookFest 2012.

We missed you, Stewart. I "chose" the wrong week (in quotes because I didn't really have a choice) but Sebastian Barry was as good as ever. Meeting up with bookloving friends is the main reason I go these days, as I'm spoiled for choice with book festivals in the South (very much looking forward to Cheltenham and seeing Ono).

Me too, Ang, very much. Got my tickets for the 1951 Cheltenham booker (and the Anthony Powell, the Greene and the Du Maurier to read in the next six weeks, eek!) and the 2011 Booker Shortlist event earlier in the day. Such fun!
