Re: Historical What Ifs

And what might have happened, or not happened if Frau Schickelgruber had said to Herr Schickelgruber: "Not tonight, Alois, I the headache have..."?

Re: Limericks

When it comes to rhyme, scansion and metre
There really is little that's sweeter
Than a limerick ripe
For all tears to wipe
And a last line that goes on and on, not fitting, with litle scansion,...

Re: Happy Birthday to...

Thanks, Col. Perhaps I shouldn't have revealed my date of birth, to continue the impression that I have of being perpetually young!

Re: The Apprentice

Was this Sralan's biggest mistake since that Dewberry woman won? Will there be a run on Amstrad shares? Surely neither Katie nor Tre is in the frame? I agree that the interviews will be crucial. ...

Re: The Food Thread

World's fastest casserole: chicken drumsticks with a can of vegetable soup thrown over them. 20 minutes in the microwave (or a bit longer if the drumsticks are frozen).

Re: Comfort music

Re: How did you cope during the great Palimpsest blackout of 2007?

I'd been away from Palimpsest for a few days (Easter church services, bird down the chimney and where do you find a CORGI-registered gas fitter to remove the gas fire legally, ordering a new...
