Re: The Apprentice

I found the interviews and the boardroom quite uncomfortable. Would a man have been put in the same position? As Becca said, some of the questions asked of the women were completely biased unless...

Re: Decent Telly

I was at the show on Saturday and I thought Lee was head and shoulders above the rest. I was impressed with Keith's voice but as you said, he's a singer, not a musical theatre performer. I think...

Re: Today, I will be mostly listening to...

It was pretty good - lots of John Cale and Lou Reed. And then they stuck The Strokes on at the end which ruined it for me! I can't stand them!

Re: Today, I will be mostly listening to...

I watched a programme over the weekend on BBC4 which features a number of New York bands that had played live at the BBC. Since then I've been listening to Blondie, Talking Heads and Velvet...

Re: Local Pride

My hometown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanturk) is supposedly where the last wild boar in Ireland was killed. Hence the name - Kanturk which in Irish is Ceann Toirc (boar's head).

Re: Today, I will be mostly listening to...

I've got a huge weakness for covers so I've been listening to Nouvelle Vague (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nouvelle_Vague_(band)) who do very sweet bossa nova inspired covers of '80's songs.
