Apologies everyone for the cock up on the front page. Hopefully it will be back to normal in a couple of days time... it's a very fiddly job!

I am sort of warming to the minimalist look myself. But what about some fairy lights?

Am I the only one who logs in straight to the forum index, and never sees the front page?

Well, that's as maybe, but I still think Wavid should get a bloody wriggle on. He's leaving us soon, and you don't want a front page I've designed, believe me.

Leaving! To somewhere they don't have what Peter Kay would call "that t'internet"? Not ... Doncaster?

Even worse ... King's Lynn.

The place where (at the risk of parodying Tim's anti-Slough soliloquy in The Office) they have two night clubs; 'Zoots' and 'On top of the World'. The latter is a room above Argos.

Now hang on - that's not fair. You haven't even mentioned Dr Thirsty's...

Will get cracking this afternoon. I am not leaving Palimpsest entirely, but am moving to a new employment, where part time website editing might well be frowned upon...

Do you edit a website in your part-time Wavid!

(Like the old joke about a primary school teacher telling pupils about the world of employment. "So where do you work then, miss?")

I'm not entirely sure what you are implying, John...
