I've chosen Dorian by Will Self for this month's book. I've never read any of his books before but I've appreciated all the articles of his I've read and I've heard good reports of this. It might be interesting for those who are fast readers to take a look at the Oscar Wilde as well but certainly wouldn't be requisite.
I've read the Oscar Wilde, is this a new take on the original or his idea of a sequel?

I would say it's a new take on the original, set in the literal dying days of the C20th rather than the C19th. Some of the character names have been transposed but not all.
