Eagle eyed Parsnip-lovers will be appalled to note that his forum has disappeared.

Panic ye not, however!

It has been replaced with a link to his NEW website (http://parsnip.palimpsest.org.uk), separate from these forums, which he demanded so that he could better publicise his forthcoming publications, The Kronikles of A'Rafat and (one day) The Oligarchicon.

This new site will also act as the homepage for his publisher, The Fantastical House of Flegg.

So that new readers can better enjoy the Parsnip experience, all the old posts will be republished. This will also allow veteran Parsnip-spotters to relive some classic moments. It won't all be old news though - new stuff will start being posted too, so that everyone has something exciting to see!

This thread is here to keep you all abreast of when there are movements and new posts to the site. Of course, those of you who know about these things can subscribe to the site using this link (http://parsnip.palimpsest.org.uk/?feed=rss2) with your RSS aggregator and thus have the very latest delivered automatically to your PC screen.

Feel free to add your comments to the site - it is easy enough to do - or by using this thread.

All the old posts are now in place, and new entries will be added from now on!

Latest post: Huth Goes to Zamora (http://parsnip.palimpsest.org.uk/2006/02/01/huth-goes-to-zamora/).

Brilliant:

They raced through the arid desert land which was what Zamora was comprised of, mostly. There were some nice bits but they were all on the coast.

I just added it to the Stumbleupon.com (http://www.stumbleupon.com/) database.

That's great, JM! Er, what does that do?

It means that lots of people may (or may not) find it by hitting the "Find me a randomly selected but interesting website" [Stumble!] button on their browser*.
Sites on Stumbleupon are added by its users with a profile of interests and passed on to other users with similar profiles thus guaranteeing, or certainly increasing the chances of, a certain amount of interestingness to the button presser.

*Toolbar for Firefox downloadable from here (https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?application=firefox&version=1.0&id=138). Not sure where to get it for any other browser, sorry.

How do you add stuff to the database? I would like to add a number of sites in the hope that it can bring in the right kind of traffic.

Parsnip now has his very own forum (http://parsnip.palimpsest.org.uk/forum). It is rather lively.

nice style too, although the contributors seem to be heavily Norfolk biased.

Mavis Enderby (Perry Nayham's location) is in Lincolnshire.

Assuming you are signed up to Stumbleupon (it's free) and you have the toolbar installed on your browser you just go to the site and hit the Thumbsup 'I like it' button as normal. If no one has added the site already it asks you for some tags and a description. That's it.
