No particular order again, other than BOTT stays at Number one.

Blood on the Tracks – Dylan
Harrowing, raw, bitter beauty. His best lyrics, ever.

In Through The Out Door – Led Zep
Don’t give a fuck what others say. This is their peak (and their last) – mature, sophisticated production that seals their ownership of the genre. Don’t bother unless you can play it at full volume.

Are You Experienced – Jimi Hendrix
Changed the world of electric guitar rock forever. Left most ‘guitar heroes’ staring at their Fenders and scratching their heads.

Hunky Dory – David Bowie
Acoustic(ish) pop songs that define Bowie for me. Seminal.

Mule Variations - Tom Waits
One of the best ‘barn’ recordings I’ve ever heard. Homespun, snarling, melancholic as only Tommy-Boy can do.

Imagine – John Lennon
It may rot your teeth but, by Christ, it does your heart good.

The Good Son - Nick Cave
Genius – please see all other postings on Old Nick ‘cos they’re far better than anything I can say.

The Bends – Radiohead
Their best to date – saved the Nineties for me.

Live at the Fillmore – Cream
Clapton’s finest and, possibly, last hour.

Pet Sounds - Beach Boys
Please just Google for a few million rave (rightly so) reviews.

Exile On Main Street – Rolling Stones
Difficult one this, but somehow, just can’t leave it out. Seems to be ‘stuck to my fingers’ (har-har!)

Rubber Soul - The Beatles
The Fab Four grow up. It’s the best vocals I’ve ever heard from John.
